The visual artist, Astrid Rieder, has integrated modern music into her work for over ten years. Her drawings, paintings, performances, and installations, express, in an engaging manner, the timbre, rhythm, and sensitivity she possesses, which is drawn out of her by these pieces of music.
Further, she endeavours to stimulate a rapport between the music and the recipient. By furnishing her exhibition openings with interpretations performed live, by organising house-concerts and workshops, she has been able to provide many people with their first contact with modern music.
